How to Use the Body Gua Sha
Preparation
Begin by applying a body oil to make the tool glide smoothly across your skin. This not only moisturizes the skin but also helps to nourish your skin.
Legs
- Start at your ankles and move upwards in a scraping motion towards the knee.
- Repeat the same process from your knee to the upper thigh and hip area.
- Repeat this process 5-10 times for each section.
Buttocks
- Starting at the lower area of the buttocks, use upward strokes moving towards the top of the buttocks.
- Repeat these strokes, ensuring to cover the entire area of each buttock.
- Do this 5-10 times on each buttock.
Arms
- Begin at your wrist and work your way up towards the elbow.
- From the elbow, move towards the shoulder.
- Again, do this 5-10 times per section.
Abdomen and Back
- Use gentle, upward strokes across your stomach.
- For your back, it might be easier to have someone else assist you. The strokes should move from lower to upper back.
- Repeat these steps 5-10 times.
Remember to drink plenty of water after your session to assist your body in flushing away toxins. The pressure should be firm but not painful.
